Feisol Taiwan demonstrated the world's first carbon fibre U-Mount, the UA-180 at Photokina 2008.

Customer response was overwhelming and ever since the event many photographers have asked when will the product be launched.

Now after many months of testing and refining, FesiolUK proudly announce that the UA-180 carbon fibre U-Mount is available to order.

The innovative UA-180 U-Mount is designed for super telephoto lenses e.g. 400 f/2.8, 500 f/4 and 600 f/4 etc. It is made from Carbon Fibre and alloy and weighs in at only 1.6 kg, yet can support up to 15 kg.  

The all new U-Mount offers versatility and stability for balanced telephoto lens control, to meet the needs of the most discerning wildlife, sport or aviation photographer.

The UA-180 carbon fibre U-Mount is a unique one piece design. By using the most advanced carbon fibre manufacturing techniques, the U-Mount structure is not only light but is also strong and extremely rigid.

The symmetrical UA-180 U-Mount structure provides outstanding stability and flexibility of super telephoto lens / camera support for wildlife, sport or aviation photographers. The lockable engraved panning base effortlessly rotates 360 degrees which together with the height adjustable gimbal provides smooth and weightless positioning of even the largest lens / camera rig.

Note: The UA-180 includes a QP-200 Quick Release Plate suitable for foot mounting lenses up to 600mm with teleconverters. For those photographers who require improved rigidity (camera and foot mount), two optional QR plates are available for purchase.

For ease of postage the UA-180 is supplied with the QR clamp detached. An Allen key, QR clamp screws and QR plate screws are included.
