- How do I adjust my Feisol CB-50D ballhead?
Adjusting the ball head friction
By turning the Ball locking knob (4), one can easily adjust the position of the ball. The friction control knob (5) controls the amount of the friction applied to the ball. First loosen the ball locking knob free the ball, then tighten the friction control knob lightly to adjust amount of friction required. Therefore every time one releases the ball locking knob, the friction of the ball will be set to the pre-set amount. The Friction control knob only needs to be adjusted once, and do not turn it more than half turn. The Panning Locking Knob (6) locks the panning base and allows the ball to operate.
Since the CB-50 uses a double clamping mechanism, if the Friction control knob (5) seems tight, one should first tighten the Ball Head Locking knob (4) to assist in pre-loading the ball before tightening / loosening the Friction knob (5). This will enable the ball to be clamped / released without using excessive force.

- How do I adjust my Feisol CB-70H ballhead?
The Friction Control Knob (5) controls the amount of friction applied to the ball head. First loosen the Ball Head Locking knob (4) to free the ball movement, then adjust the Friction Control Knob (5) to give the desired amount of friction.
Every time the Ball Head Locking knob (4) is released, the friction of the ball head will automatically be pre-set. The Friction Control Knob (5) only needs to be adjusted once, and should not be loosened / tightened by more than half a turn.
Note: Due to the double clamping nature of the CB-70, If the Friction Control Knob (5) feels stiff, then tighten the Ball Head Locking knob (4) to release the tension on the Friction Control Knob (5). Subsequently, make only minor adjustments (1/4 turn at a time) before releasing the Ball Head Locking knob (4) to test the amount of ball friction required.
The Ball Locking Knob (6) locks the ball but allows 360 degree horizontal base movement. It is designed to be use for panoramic photography. When not in a horizontal level shooting environment, it is quicker to use the Ball Head Locking Knob (4) to lock the ball and base.
Note: Since the CB-70 uses a double clamping mechanism, one should tighten the Ball Head Locking knob (4) to assist in pre-loading the ball before tightening / loosening the Ball Locking Knob (6). This will enable the ball to be clamped / released without using excessive force.
The Pan Locking Knob (7) is used to lock the ball head base and will continue to allow ball movement.
